Contact person when posting workers to Sweden
All employers who post workers to Sweden must appoint a contact person. As a contact person, you are an important link that makes it easier for Swedish authorities and trade unions to communicate with employers abroad.
What is my responsibility as a contact person?
You must be available to be contacted by Swedish authorities and trade unions. You need to provide a Swedish postal address where we can send correspondence. This means that you as a contact person need to be in Sweden for the entire duration of the posting.
This role includes:
- You will receive notifications on behalf of the employer. This means that the Swedish authorities send you decisions and other important documents. Once you have received a document, it counts as having been received by the employer.
- You send documents to the Swedish authorities or trade unions showing that the employer is complying with the posting rules.
You are not responsible for the company’s activities and you have no legal responsibility. At the end of the posting, you will no longer be the contact person.
Do you want to be removed as a contact person?
Contact the employer who has made the report of the posting. The employer needs to update the information in our e-service “Report a posting”.
