Healthy Workplaces Campaign

Together for Mental Health is the Healthy Workplaces Campaign organised by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA). The campaign focuses on prevention and management of psychosocial risks at work and will be carried out across all EU Member States from 2026 to 2028.

Nationally, the Swedish Work Environment Authority (SWEA) coordinates the campaign together with a range of organisations working in the field of occupational safety and health (OSH).

Purpose of the campaign

Together with other organisations in the OSH field, we share knowledge and carry out activities to encourage preventive action and promote healthier workplaces across Europe.

The campaign aims to:

  • raise awareness of workplace risks and how to prevent them
  • promote practical tools, knowledge and examples of good practice
  • support employers and workers in managing risks together
  • contribute to a more systematic approach to occupational safety and health management

Campaign themes

The campaign runs for three years and addresses different aspects of organisational and social work environment risks and working conditions.

In Sweden, the organisations participating in the campaign have agreed on three national themes, one for each year of the campaign:

2026: Organisational and Social Work Environment

The focus is on increasing awareness of the organisational and social work environment and psychosocial risks. We highlight how workplaces can take a preventive approach to work organisation, workload and cooperation. The year also marks ten years since Sweden introduced provisions regulating organisational social work environment.

2027: Violence, Threats and Harassment

The focus is on safety, inclusion and prevention. We highlight how workplaces can work systematically to prevent and manage violence, threats and harassment and create a safe working environment for everyone.

2028: Workplace Adaptation and Return to Work

Importance of a universal design of the workplace is underlined in order to fit a vast majority of workers, but focus is on how workplaces can adapt the workplace and support return to work. We highlight how employers can adapt work and provide support to help workers remain in work or return after illness or injury.

Campaign activities

During the campaign period, the Swedish Work Environment Authority and the organisations participating in the campaign will carry out a range of activities to share knowledge and support workplaces in their OSH work.

Two webinars focusing on psychosocial working conditions are planned for autumn 2026. Further information will be published closer to the events.
